Chelsea show their power

It was all about Chelsea as they won their match against Manchester City 6-0. Essien, Cole, Kalou, Shevchenko scored goal a piece while Drogba scored two to their biggest win of the campiagn so far. Under the new manager it was also a solid performance.

Meanwhile in the other match Arsenal and Liverpool both shared points each, Gerrard scored and early goal from a free kick while Fabregas scored a labeller in the second half. Liverpool dominated the early half of the match but Arsenal controlled the later stages of the match. They hid the wood work twice. Red Devils also won their match agaisnt Middlesbrough 4-1. Aliadiere scored for the Middlesbrough while Nani and Rooney scored one goal each while Tevez scored two for the Red devils.

Blackburn won the match agains the Spurs 2-1. McCarthy and Samba scored for the Rovers while Keane scored for the Spurs.

Gunners salvage 7 past Slavia Prague

Gunners who are in fine run of form after getting 11 consecutive wins in all tournament hammered 7 unanswered goals past the Slavia Prague. The score line could have been more as the gunners launched an assault against the team from Prague. Fabregas opened the score for the gunners in 5th minutes and David Hubacek's own goal made it 2-0.

Walcott was rewarded for his eye-catching cameo at the weekend with a first Champions League start and he responded in style. Theo Walcott got his first Champions League goal after a goalkeeping error and added another after Hleb got in the score sheet. The other two goals came courtesy of Fabregas and Bendtner. It was the Arsenal's best ever win in European competition. It was one of the rare occasion where a team has scored past 7 goals in a Champion's League match.

Manchester United also won their match against Dynamo Kiev 4-2. Rio Ferdinand opened the scoring for the Red devils while Rooney added another before Rincon pulled 1 back for Kiev. Roanldo scored two goals and set up Manchester United towards victory.
Bangoura scored for the Kiev again and they lost the match by 2 goals margin.

Meanwhile Liverpool are on the verge of exit from Champions' league as they struggle to beat Besiktas.
The turks were gifted their first goal when Sami Hyypia deflected in Ozkan's strike. Bobo slid the ball under Pepe Reina to make it 2 for the Besiktas. Gerrard scored a consolation for the Reds from Liverpool. Chelsea also won their match against german side Schalke by 2 goals margin. Malouda and Drogba scored for the Blues.

Lucky Liverpool cruise past city rivals Everton

Liverpool managed to get all 3 points in a match at some point looked like the toffees will get all 3 points from the match. Everton got the lead from an own goal from Hyypia. Liverpool managed to come back through two goals from Dirk Kuyt scored from penalty spot. In the process two Everton players were sent off : Phil Neville and Hibbert.

Arsenal managed hard fought win over Bolton with a goal a piece from Toure and Rosicky. Also Manchester United sprung a crucial win over the villians . Aston Villa got the lead from Agbonlahor but Manchester United soon got back on track with two goals from Rooney. Ferdinand and Giggs added the other two in their 4-1 victory. Cross town rivals Manchester city also won their match against Birmingham with a single goal margin courtesy of Brazilian Elano. Chelsea got goals from Drogba and Alex to get win over Middlesbrough.

McCarthy scored twice and Santa Cruz and Kerimoglu added other goals in Blackburn's 4-2 win over Reading. Doyle scored both the goals for Reading.Benzani Mwaruwari and Glen Johnson scored in Pompey's 2-0 win over Wigan. And in Sunday's match West Ham won the match against Sunderland 3-1.Carlton Cole, Bellamy and an own goal from Craig Gordon got West Ham all 3 points. Jones scored a consolation for Sunderland.

Mercyside derby is the match of the week

The premier league kick start again after international break with the match of the week heading for the two mercyside team Everton and Liverpool. Rafa Benitez and David Moyes will be employing their head against each other as the highly contested match is being eagerly anticipated by all the football lovers from Liverpool.

Other notable fixture includes Aston Villa against Manchester United. Martin O Neil will be very much obliged to get a win against Sir Alex's army from Manchester. Another eagerly anticipated match is between the Newcastle and the Tottenham. Sam Allardyce will want to get high on heels while Martin Jol will be desperate to keep his job at the spurs.

The table topping Arsenal will want to show their skills at the crisis centered Bolton. The young guns are really firing all cylinder but will be missing their key man Robin Van Persie thruough injury. John Terry less Chelsea will be going to riverside to meet Middlesbrough.

Arsenal maintain their top position

Gunners are really flying high after their another win over Sunderland. Arsenal with goals from Senderos and two from Van Persie. Sunderland gave them a tough time as they replied two goals from Wallace and Jones.

Likewise Manchester United and Manchester City are also pressing hard to give the gunners a tough time. Elano inspired Manchester City dispatched Middlesbrough to maintain their cent percent home record as they won the match 3-1. Elano scored two and Riggot scored an own goal while Hutchinson salvaged some pride for Middlesbrough. One each from Tevez, Rooney and two goals from Ronaldo secured all 3 points for the red devils against Wigan.

Liverpool and Tottenham shared points with 2-2 draw. Voronin and Torres scored for the reds while Robbie Keane scored both goals for the spurs. Newcastle also won th ematch against toffees 3-2. Nicky Butt, Emre and Owen scored for the toons while Johnson and own goal from Given were replies from the Everton. S
alomon Kalou scored the only goal as Chelsea won in the Premier League for the first time since August 25th against Bolton. Second-half goals from Benjani and Hermann Hreidarsson won th ematch for Portsmouth against Fulham. reading won th ematch against Derby with a single goal from Kevin Doyle. Goals by David Bentley and Benni McCarthy secured victory for Blackburn against Birmingham. Jerome scored for the Birmingham.

Spurs superb fightback

Tottenham Hotspur the most under performer of the new season has sprung a awesome result against Aston Villa. Younes Kaboul scored a goal in last minute as Spurs fight back from 4-1 down to tie match with Aston Villa. Berbatov scored the first goal of the match. But Aston Villa scored 4 goals in a row, 2 from Martin Laursen, and 1 each from Agbonlahor and Anthony Gardner. But spurs didn't give up even after going 3 goals down as they scored 3 goals in the last 22 minutes to end the high scoring match in a tie. Pascal Chimbonda, Keane and Kaboul were in the score sheet.

In a match played a day earlier Everton won the match against Middlesbrough by a 2 goal margin.
Joleon Lescott and Steven Pienaar were the goal scorers for the toffees.
